Your Radiant Health Sauna Experience Guide
Welcome, and congratulations on your new sauna! We are honored to be part of your wellness journey.
This guide is designed to help you feel confident, comfortable, and supported as you begin using your Radiant Health sauna, from your very first session through years of regular use.
Your sauna is more than a heat source. It is a restorative ritual meant to support relaxation, consistency, and long-term well-being.
Getting Ready for Your First Session
Before your first use, take a few minutes to prepare your sauna.
- Wipe down the interior walls and benches with a damp cloth to remove any fine wood dust that may have settled during shipping. This is normal and part of working with natural, unfinished wood.
- Ensure the room where your sauna is installed is climate-controlled and at or above 68°F (20°C). This helps the sauna reach and maintain optimal operating temperatures.
- Keep the air vent closed for most sessions. If the sauna feels warmer than you prefer, opening the vent slightly can help regulate airflow.
Creating a Comfortable Sauna Ritual
A few simple habits help protect your sauna and enhance your experience.
- Sit on a thick towel during each session and place a towel or 100% cotton mat on the floor. This protects the natural wood from perspiration and oils.
- Bring a small towel into the sauna to wipe away sweat as needed. Many customers find this makes longer sessions more comfortable.
- After your session, leave the door open for a short period to allow fresh air to circulate and moisture to dissipate.
Temperature and Session Length
Far-infrared saunas are designed to be effective at lower, more comfortable temperatures.
- The ideal temperature range is 120°F to 149°F (50°C to 65°C). Whether you prefer gentle warmth or deeper heat, you are still within the therapeutic range.
- Most sessions last 30-60 minutes. Beginners may prefer starting closer to 20–25 minutes and gradually increasing over time based on comfort and preference.
- Stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes before and after your session. Many customers also choose to sip water during longer sessions.
Music and Ambiance
Pause saunas are equipped with a Bluetooth music system, allowing you to personalize your experience with calming music, guided meditation, or quiet background sound.
You can also choose to use your sauna in complete silence. Both approaches are equally supported by our saunas. The best ritual is the one that feels right for you.
Ongoing Sauna Care
Radiant Health saunas are designed to be low-maintenance.
- Once a month, wipe the walls, benches, and door handles with a damp (not wet) cloth using plain water or a small amount of unscented natural dish soap diluted with water.
- Glass can be cleaned with a diluted vinegar and water solution.
- Avoid scented cleaners, essential oils, or harsh chemicals inside the sauna. These are unnecessary and can affect the natural wood.
Red and Near-Infrared Light
If your setup includes red light therapy products, detailed instructions and usage guidance are available on our manuals page. Red light can be used independently or layered into your sauna routine based on your preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How long should I stay in my infrared sauna? For most people, 20–30 minutes is an ideal starting range. As your body adapts, sessions of 25–45 minutes may feel comfortable. Always adjust based on how you feel.
- What temperature should I use? Anywhere between 120°F and 149°F is effective, since far-infrared saunas work differently than traditional, heat-based saunas. Some prefer gentler warmth around 120°F, while others enjoy deeper heat closer to 145°F. Choose what feels best for your body, far-infrared waves are still reaching your body.
- How do I shut off my sauna? Use the on/off button located on the external control panel of your sauna.
- How do I adjust lights and individual heaters? Lighting and individual heaters for the bench skirt, bench top, and floor can be adjusted using the external control panel or the mobile app, depending on your model.
- What should I be aware of during regular use? Like any wellness practice that increases your body temperature and produces sweat, it is important to listen to your body. Staying hydrated and maintaining electrolytes supports comfort and balance during regular sauna use.
- What should I do if I feel uncomfortable? If you ever feel lightheaded, overheated, or uncomfortable, end your session, hydrate, and allow your body to cool down. Resume use only when you feel fully comfortable.
- How can I get the most out of my sauna? Hydrate before and after your session. Stay within the recommended temperature and time ranges. Create a calming routine, whether that includes breathwork, meditation, music, or quiet reflection. Notice how your body responds, and adjust as needed. Your sauna is not about pushing limits. It is about consistency, restoration, and making space for yourself.
